He leaves behind his beloved partner Juliet and two daughters Didi and Kene who meant the world to him. Joe was predeceased by his father Emmanuel Ayinor in 2015 but is mourned by his many other family members in Nigeria: his mother Regina and his siblings Felix (Nancy), Pius (Doris), Norbert (Rita), Jude (Vero), Tony (Blessing), seven nieces and three nephews all of whom he loved dearly.
Joe was a man of many gifts, boundless energy, and numerous accomplishments. He was a deeply committed and greatly respected social worker and supervisor who devoted himself tirelessly to the protection of children and youth at both Haldimand and Norfolk Children’s Aid Society and the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton. He was also a skilled therapist who cared deeply for his clients and their families. Joe was filled with passion and enthusiasm for life and loved to swim, cook and stay in top physical form at the gym. He was also a person of great warmth, gentleness, wisdom, and compassion who blessed the lives of many persons in both his personal and professional life. He will be remembered most, however, as a man of profound faith who always radiated the love of Christ in his life and who believed that with God all things are possible. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and all the people that he served so faithfully over the years.
