Joe was the beloved husband of the late Sharon who passed away in 2005 after 40 years of marriage. He was the much loved and cherished Dad of Joanne and Shawn Hofstee, Michelle and Dino De Stefano and of Debbie who passed away in 2020. He was an amazing and loving Papa to Joshua (Yvonne), Elyce (Jack) and Lucas. He is survived by his brother John and sister Rosemary.
Joe retired from Stelco in 2002 after working in sales (Bar Sales) for over 38 years.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2-4pm and 5-8pm. A funeral service will take place at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10:30 am, followed by internment at Resurrection Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations can be made on behalf of Joe to the Good Shepherd.
