Josephine Duckworth

Josie was born in Liverpool, England. She met and married the love of her life, Albert, in Blackpool in 1950. The couple came to Canada in 1957 and after living in a few places, made their home in the same house for over sixty years.

Beloved wife of the late Albert Duckworth. Loving Mum to Sue(Wes), Graham, Janet, Andy(Kelley), Rob(Shelly). Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and dear sister of Juanita and predeceased by siblings Tony, Di (Brian) and John.

A true animal lover, she loved her horses, dogs, cats and everything in between. Josie was also an artist , we all have her paintings and, stained glass she has done over the years. Josie also loved working in her garden and shared many wonderful adventures with her dear family and friends. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted friend and Aunt with a kind and adventurous spirit.

Cremation has taken place.

The Celebration of Life for Josie will be held on Sunday, September 20th from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm at The Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 163, 435 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton, Ontario L9A 2S8.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Ladybird Sanctuary Rescue, in Josie’s memory would be appreciated. This is where Mums cat has gone to live.
