Joe will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Nada, and his children, Susie Biondic (John) and Joanna Morris (Cody). He was a cherished Dedo to Olivia, Eva, and Mayven.
Joe joins his predeceased parents, Josip and Barbara, and his brother Ivan. He leaves behind his brothers Stjepan and Mijo in Croatia, his sister-in-law Barbara Jurcic and her family, and his brother-in-law Vlado Rataic, along with his extended family and lifelong friends across Canada, the United States, and Croatia.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Joe was a proud employee of Dofasco for 30 years. Upon his well-earned retirement, he could almost always be found working on projects around the house or tinkering in the garage. His garage truly became the neighborhood toolbox—a place where the doors were always open, and Joe was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Dad, we hold onto such wonderful memories of you while growing up. We will forever cherish the outings to local parks, trips to the beach, amusement parks, and those summer evenings spent riding our bikes around the neighborhood. These are the moments we will hold dear to our hearts forever.
While our hearts are heavy, we take great comfort in knowing that you are now resting in peace.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the exceptional nursing staff and doctors at St. Peter’s Hospital, Unit 4 East, who took such wonderful, compassionate care of him in his final days.
Family and friends will be received at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 5-8 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to Holy Cross Church.
