

Born on April 15, 1944, in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Doris Huggins. She was the cherished wife of Paul Holder, and a devoted sister to Patricia “Kim” Chow (George), Bob Huggins-Chan (Linque), Judith Huggins-Chan, and June Hanson (Ken). Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was known for her warmth, intelligence, and enduring kindness. A proud and dedicated Librarian at the Hamilton Public Library for 35 years, Kathleen enriched the lives of countless readers and community members through her work. She was also deeply committed to her Catholic faith, which guided her life and service to others.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rahman, as well as the nurses and staff at Juravinski Hospital, for their compassionate care and support. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Regina Mundi Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Road West, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s memory may be made to The Good Shepherd Centre Hamilton or the charity of your choice.
