Katica was the beloved wife of Frank for 59 years. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her Ivkovic Kumovi and family in Hamilton; her nephews and the Rehorić and Majhan families in Croatia; her niece and the Strietter family in Germany; her neice and the Hrlić family in Ottawa, her nephew and the Rehorić family in Sault Ste. Marie; and her nephew and the Majhan family in the United States.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Juravinski Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they provided to Katica during her time in their care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:00 p.m., at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Cross Croatian Parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton or the Canadian Cancer Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
