It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurie Brelllisford in his 69th year at London University Hospital on Sunday March 10, 2019. He leaves behind his three children Tarrah (Adam), Paula (Grant) and Damian (Lindsay). He also leaves behind his pride and joy in his grandchildren Abigail, Ruby-Anne, Mary, Isaiah, Caoilainn, Audrey, Adam, Alastriona, Jaxon, Emmie, Lincoln and Leyla. Husband of many years to Sylvia. His beloved ‘fur-baby’ Chestnut will miss him. To know Laurie was to love him, he made friends everywhere he went up to and including the doctors and nurses providing his care over the past several months. Laurie was an avid golfer and until the past few years could be found on the golf course several times a week. He was a long term employee of Dofasco, where he worked as a millwright for 40 years. Laurie’s love and radiant personality will live on through his grandchildren who were the light of his life!

A special thank you to the interprofessional healthcare team at London University Hospital, for providing compassion and hope to our beloved dad and family during his final days.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA of Hamilton or the transplant unit at London University Hospital.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday March 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave East, Hamilton.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cresmountfennellchapel.com for the Brellisford family.

I had a great opportunity to work with Laurie when I started at Dofasco in 1972 in the apprenticeship program. Laurie was a very knowledgeable man, fair and well liked by all his co-workers.
Laurie was such a wonderful father to his children and I had a second chance to work with his son Damian in Utilities. I can see the similarities in both men and Laurie will be looking down to watch over his family and grandchildren and provide guidance to all.

May God Bless You Laurie

It is with heavy hearts that we send our condolences. Your father was a gem. Always smiling and enjoying whatever moment he was in. He certainly was a very proud grandfather and it was evident that his grandkids were his world. He will never be forgotten. He will forever be in your hearts and in your memories.

Love Darlene, Terry, Kyle and Brayden.

Such fond memories of Laurie during the Sherwood years, and having the great fortune of sharing time with him on the wrestling team, where he was a tremendous leader and teacher to all of us, along with his fun loving smile, laughter, and numerous pranks. Sincere condolences to the family, and love to all.

So sad to hear of Laurie's death. Although I have not seen him for several years, his photo shows the same broad grin he always had on his face through childhood. I have many fond memories of good times shared with him and our cousins, aunts and uncles at so many family gatherings. I send my deepest sympathy to his family. I hope the many memories you have of him will see you through the coming days.

Very sorry to hear about Laurie. I have many great memories of Laurie and his family when we were young. He had the same smile and sense of humour as his dad. It is obvious from your family pictures that, as with Uncle Alf, family was very important and a source of joy.

Fond memories of Laurie on our #2 Pickle Line Team at Dofasco. Such a great guy and will be sorely missed by his dear family of which he spoke of often. Rest in peace Laurie.

My sincere condolences to the Brellisford family for your loss. Laurie and I were close friends at Sherwood S.S. We shared a love of sports and fun times. We both played football as well as soccer and the wrestling team. Laurie was always up for anything and you could always tell when he was roaming the halls of Sherwood by his infectious laugh.
I’m sure he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
