Lawrence Joseph DeNardis

At Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in his 73rd year after a short illness. Devoted husband of the late Barbara Anne (Woodcroft), loving father of Teri (and John Brunner) Cathy (and the late Rob Schiavo), Paula (and Erika Hart) and proud grampa of Jake, Josh, Tori and Joey Brunner and Halle and Nathan DeNardis. Caring uncle of seventeen nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. Brother-in-law of Diane DeNardis, Jim and Helen Woodcroft and the late Joan Peace. Larry is predeceased by his parents Nellie and Whitey and brother Frank DeNardis.

Larry was a retired lighting director at CHCH TV, where he worked for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer and dedicated fan of the Hamilton Ticats, New York Yankees and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Most importantly, he loved fishing and boating on Mary Lake and spending time at the "grassy beach' in Port Sydney, surrounded by his numerous family and friends.

Visitation will take place at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue Hamilton on Thursday, October 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 416 Mohawk Road East, on Friday at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
