Peacefully with family by her side on June 20, 2014 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Nikola. Loving mother of Mirko (Mojca), Branko (Milica) and the late Ivan. Dear mother-in-law to Anna and cherished baka to Gordon (Michelle), Brian (Jennifer), Zoran (Mojca) and Alenka (Simon). Prabaka to Luka, Eliana, Evelyn, Ana and Kristjan. She is predeceased by her 9 siblings. Ljubica will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and family in Canada, Croatia and Slovenia. Her family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral, 1774 King St. E. on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Tuesday, June 24th at 9:30 a.m. with interment following in Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery in Stoney Creek. If desired, donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church or the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
