Beloved wife of Slavko for 55 years. Cherished mother of the late Peter Jagusic (2020) and Fanika Jagusic. Dear sister of Miko Poljak (Mira) of Croatia and sister-in-law of Ljubica (John) Zefkic, Nevenka (Mirko) Protulipac, Danica (Ivan) Cvitak, and Barbara Jagusic. Ljubica will be truly missed by her friends Nikola and Milka Cule of Vancouver and their children. She will also be missed by the family dog Jamie, who will miss her extra treats.
Predeceased by her parents Dragen and Katica Poljak, her brothers-in-law Drago Jagusic, Mike Jagusic, Joe (Ana) Jagusic and sisters-in-law Kata (Toma) Bersinic, Barka (Ivan) Baric, Andelka (Ivan) Jefak, Maca (Ludvig) Zvonar. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, in Canada and Croatia.
Ljubica, also known as Violet, worked at the Tim Hortons on Barton Street, across from the General Hospital for over 20 years. She was liked by her many colleagues and regular customers.
After many years of illness, she is now reunited with her beloved son Peter.
Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton for visitation on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10 a.m., with a funeral mass to follow at Holy Cross Croatian Church Hall, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Joseph's Health Foundation, the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation (Hamilton General Hospital) or Holy Cross Croatian Church, would be appreciated by the family.
