Its with great sorrow, that I, Nicholas Chetec, announce the passing of my dear sweet, beloved father Loren, early Sunday December 4th, 2011 at St Joseph's Hospital. My Father was my best friend as well as the most loving, caring and thoughtful man I have ever known and I will always treasure the time I had with him and he will forever be missed by myself and our golden retriever, Logan. He was the deeply loving and devoted husband to his soulmate the late Adele and the doting son of the late Nicholas And Dorothy Chetec of North Bay. Loren was the dear brother of Diane Neil (Murray) and loving brother-in- law to Suzanne and Charles Mercer, Christine Rasmussen and John and Anne Kustra and Beloved son-in-law to Joan and the late Eugene Kustra . He was the always loving uncle to David and Scott Mercer, Matthew, Andrew and the Late David Neil and great-niece Hailey and great-nephews Alex and Owen. Loren will be missed by countless people, as he always took the time to make people feel appreciated and was a friend to all. He spent many years as a salesman for Kraft foods, during which he received many awards including winning sales man of the year on multiple occasions. His love of his RV and being with his family took us on many exciting trips and wonderful adventures and he had the ability to turn any situation into a greatly enjoyable experience and I will be forever grateful that I was able to accompany him through all of them. Loren's strength, positive attitude and unbelievably loving heart was and will continue to inspire all and he will continue to give us his love, strength, comfort and support along our life's journey.
The family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E, Hamilton on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, 865 Mohawk Rd. W. in Hamilton, on Friday December 9th at 1 p.m. A private interment will be held in Sunridge, Ontario on Saturday.
