Margaret Kennedy (née McDougall)

Margaret was born in 1935 in Perth County, Scotland, where she spent her early years before embarking on a new chapter in Canada. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her beloved husband, Colin Kennedy Sr., and their young son, Colin Alexander Kennedy Jr., seeking new opportunities and building a life filled with family, friendships, and community.

Margaret devoted much of her professional career to St. Joseph's Hospital, where she served as a Human Resources Recruitment Manager. She was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and ability to connect with people, helping countless individuals begin their careers in healthcare.

Predeceased by her cherished husband, Colin Kennedy Sr., and her beloved son, Colin Alexander Kennedy Jr., Margaret leaves behind a circle of dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, loyalty, wit, and unwavering friendship. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, Hope, who brought her great comfort and joy.

An avid animal lover throughout her life, Margaret always shared her home with Labrador Retrievers, whose companionship was one of her greatest pleasures. She had a special place in her heart for animals and never missed an opportunity to support their well-being.

Margaret was a passionate sports fan. A devoted Hamilton Tiger-Cats season ticket holder for over twenty years, she rarely missed a game until health no longer allowed her to attend. She also proudly cheered on the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Steelers, often joking that there was simply something special about teams wearing black and gold.

Those fortunate enough to know Margaret will remember her sharp sense of humour, her generous spirit, her fierce loyalty, and the genuine interest she took in the lives of others. She formed friendships that lasted decades and leaves behind countless treasured memories.
