Mrs. Maria Bollella

BOLLELLA, Maria (nee Di Vito) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing away of Maria Bollella at the Henderson Hospital on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in her 75th year, after a lengthy battle with cancer, the Lord has taken her home. She was the rock in our family. Full of energy, full of laughs and most of all full of love and support for her family. She showed us true courage and had a thirst for life and knowledge. She loved her soccer, fishing, travelling and especially enjoyed the outdoors. Beloved and devoted wife of Attilio, much loved mother of Luigi and Marcella and her husband Angelo. Cherished nonna to Jessica and Angelo. Sadly missed by her loving brothers Enea (Late Clara), Michele (Kathy), Nicola (Rosa) in Italy. Also sadly missed by sisters-in-law Michelina (the late Erminio) and Rosaria (and the late Vincenzo). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A heartfelt and special thank you to the staff at the Henderson Hospital, especially Dr. Tozer for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Church (Parkdale and Queenston Road) on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum. If so desired, expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
