Marija Dojcic

Marija is now reunited in eternal peace with her late husband Stjepan Dojčić and her cherished son, the late John (Janko) Dojčić.

Marija is the loving and devoted mother of Sally (Slavica) Hribljan and her husband Joe. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Joey (LeeAnn) and Tommy (Christina), and cherished great-grandchildren Eric and Jasmine, who brought immense joy to her life. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her immediate and extended family and friends here in Canada and Croatia.

Marija was born in the small village of Podrebar, Croatia. Along with her children, she immigrated to Canada to join her husband in 1966. She truly enjoyed cooking, baking and spent many hours needlepointing, sewing and knitting.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to their family and friends who took the time to visit and support Marija over the years. Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Arbour Creek Care Centre for their compassionate care.

Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, where visitation will take place on September 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with Prayers at 7:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton, 1883 King St E, on September 29, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, on September 29, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations collected will be used towards a gift in Marija’s honour to her favourite church in Bosiljevo, Majka Božja Gradiška (Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary). Online condolences can be made at www.markeydermody.com
