She died peacefully at True Davidson Acres in Toronto on August 5, 2026. She was one of eight children born to Stephen and Mary Anne MacLean, on a farm in Barra Head, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia on November 29, 1934.
In 2012, her husband of 45 years, Frank Trutwin, passed away. Marina was pre-deceased by her siblings Cyril, Bernie, Elmer, Marion, Jody, Freda and Harry.
Marina had a passion for teaching, music and gardening. She studied music at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Her four-footed companion, Bella, was always by her side.
She will be forever missed by her nieces and nephews and the many lives she touched.

Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Chapel Service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
