Dr. Mark Raymond Bostock

Dr. Mark Raymond Bostock was born to Barbara May Tebbs and Raymond Michael Bostock in Derbyshire, England, July 16th, 1962. He immigrated to Montreal at the age of ten before later settling in Ontario and attending the University of Toronto. He received a BA in anthropology and then started to work on his Masters. He decided to apply to medicine, dentistry and law and was accepted into all 3 programs. He chose dentistry and graduated from University of Toronto in 1992 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Mark spent most of his time in Georgetown building his family practice with Sheila at his side from the start. He married Lisa Buresh in 1988 in Georgetown and had two sons, Julian Alexander Bostock and Jacob Andrew Bostock. Later he married Tara Hall and had a daughter, Summer Lee Bostock. Mark enjoyed sailing and loved spending his vacation time in the Barbados. His three children each have qualities that are their father and will forever be a reminder of all that encompasses the love that he had for them. He brought the family all together in an unconventional way that made us all stronger for it. He was unique but he was Mark. He was loved and will truly be missed. Mark fought his battle with leukemia having to spend much of his time in and out of Juravinski. He never lost his sense of humour and said he felt like he was going into the office and the nurses were like his staff. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his children and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on the nurses. He had a great ability make others smile and his sense of humour will be missed Mark has greatly impacted those around him positively and will never be forgotten. Mark’s sarcastic wit and humour are carried on by his ex-wives Lisa and Tara, his children Julian, Jacob and Summer. Also, his siblings Simon, Sara and Cathy; as well as, his nieces and nephews, Emma, Kate, Adkin, Huxley and Zaidy will all miss Mark. Cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
