Mary Goit

Mary was the loving wife of Ken Goit of 44 years. Mother of Jeff and David of whom her life revolved around. Mary is predeceased by her brother Steve and parents Peter and Ann Lebedowcyz. She is survived by her nieces and nephew Patty, Sandy, Michael, Kristen, Leslee, and Jayme. She will be lovingly missed by many friends.

Mary worked as a Law Clerk at the law office of Smith and Smith for over 50 years. She treasured her time with her family and friends at the cottage and on her pontoon boat (it was HER boat). She was a consummate host at home and at the cottage; however, Mary’s true passion was being a mother of her two boys (three if you count Kenny).

Mary faced many health challenges with strength and grace and never stopped smiling through it all. A special thank you to Brad Mailman who unselfishly donated his kidney to allow us to have many extra years with Mary.

We would also like to thank Mary “Maria” Newman (DeLuca) and Dody Ferber for always being there for her.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1174 King Street East, Hamilton, on Friday July 24, 2026, from 6pm – 9pm and Saturday July 25, 2026, from 11am – 12pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 12pm. Per Mary’s wishes cremation will follow. If desired, donations in memory of Mary may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
