At the Willowgrove Long Term Care Residence on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, Mary passed away in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late William R. Hockney. Loving mother of Katherine (Michael) Shepherd of Airdrie, Alberta, Tom (Esther) of P.E.I., and Richard (Kim) of Hamilton. Sadly missed by grandchildren Michael, David, Jonathan (Vanessa), Jennifer (Byron), Emma, Will and Jack. Great-grandmother of 7. Predeceased by her brother Ted. Survived by nieces and nephews and their families. Mary was a member of the Girl Guides of Canada for 35 years which she considered her extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Ave.), on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. Private interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Hughson Street Baptist Church.
