Michael "Mike" Mychailyshyn

Michael passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Center. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sofia, of 63 years. Will be deeply missed by son Michael John and his wife Iryna; daughter Irene and her husband Andrij Teliszewksy. Beloved Dido of Michael Paul, Ivanka, Nadia, Markianna, and Tamara Mychailyshyn; Andrew Teliszewsky; Natalie and her husband Blair Turner; and Christina Teliszewsky and her fiance Gregory Katchmar. He is predeceased by his brother, Yaroslav, in Ukraine. He will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends in Canada, Ukraine, and the United States. Panachyda at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, 60 Richview Rd., Etobicoke, Wednesday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E., Hamilton, Thursday, October 30 at 7:00-9:00 p.m., with Panachyda at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Barton St. E at St. Olga St., Hamilton, on Friday, October 31 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville. If desired, charitable donations may be made to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre in Michael’s memory.
