Peacefully on June 8, 2016 at The Brant Centre Long Term Care, in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife Lorraine and daughter Lucia. Loving father of Michael and his wife Gina. Cherished papa of Christopher (Zuzana) and Nicole. Survived by his sisters-in-law Olga Marcogliese, Mary Marcogliese and Mary Olivieri. Predeceased by his siblings Mary Sciascia (Leonard), Phyllis Pearson (Bill), Frank and Jim and brothers-in-law Paul and Bernard Olivieri. Deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Mike was a barber for 47 years and a member of Sacred Heart Church where he served as an usher. Mike took great pride in his family and will always be remembered for his gentle demeanor and thoughtfulness towards others. Special thank you to all the staff at Brant Centre for their kindness and care. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday, June 14th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at St. John the Baptist Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave. Burlington, on Wednesday, June 15th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to a charity of your choice.
