Born in Castiglione A Casauria, Italy on February 17, 1916 and immigrated to Canada in 1951. Michele passed away peacefully in his sleep at Arbour Creek Nursing Home on January 31, 2012 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Caterina for 64 years. Loving father of Emilio (Anne) and Sabatino (Lori). Cherished Nonno of Michael (Sheri), Kathryn, Robert, Daniel, Andrew, Mathew, David and Brian and Bisnonno of Tristan. Predeceased by his brother Emilio (1945) and by his sisters, Lucia Epifano and Santina Tella. A special thanks to the staff of Arbour Creek for their care and support.
His family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. with prayers at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Catholic Church (Corner of Queenston Rd. & Parkdale Ave.) on Thursday February 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Entombment in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
