It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our much loved husband, father and Nonno Mike at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Guiseppina who was the love of his life for 65 years. Cherished father of Maria Antonietta (Dale), Vincenzina (Paul) and Vincent (Lisa). Loving Nonno of Elizabeth (Ryan), Alexander (Meghan), Andrew, Christopher and Sophia. Survived by his brother Dominic (Angelina) and sister Maria. Predeceased by his daughter Ausilia, brother Joseph (Antonietta) and brother-in-law Frank. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Mike was born in Casacalenda, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1956. He was a proud Canadian and loved his Italian heritage. Mike was a hard working man, retired from Stelco and a grounds keeper at Blessed Sacrament Parish. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time with family and friends. All of us who knew him will greatly miss his sense of humor and story telling. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, August 28th 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 305 East 37th St., on Saturday, August 29th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
