Beloved husband of Nevenka for 62 blessed years. Loving father of Joe (Lory). Cherished Dida of Natalie (Lukas) and Amanda, and adored Great-Dida of Rome. Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Ana, his brothers Janko and Josip and his sisters Barbara and Ljubica.
Thank you to Ivan & Danica Cvitak for their friendship, continuous laughter and kindness, especially over the last few years. He will be deeply missed by his niece, Maca and Ivica Volovic. The family extends its heartfelt thanks for the many cherished memories and special times shared with our relatives and friends in Canada and Croatia.
He will also be fondly remembered by his prijatelji Saic and Katkic families.

Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, ON, Sunday, August 9th from 5:00-8:30 p.m. with Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton, ON, Monday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mirko’s memory may be made to the family, who will distribute them equally amongst Holy Cross Croatian Parish, The Cancer Assistance Program, and The Bright Run for Breast Cancer.
