She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved sons, Michael (2010) and Peter Joshua (1979), whom she carried in her heart every day. Nancy was the cherished wife of Aaron Lynes for more than 57 years. Theirs was a remarkable love story and an extraordinary partnership, built on faith, devotion, laughter, and a lifetime of shared memories. Aaron was only 14 years old when he first noticed sweet Nancy Pirrie, never imagining the beautiful life they would build together. Their enduring marriage reflected commitment, friendship, and trust in God through every season. She was a devoted mother to Rebekah (Joe) and Tim Lynes. Treasured grandmother to Jesse (Rachel), Cole (Katelyn), Emerson, and Josh (Summer). Her family was her pride and joy, and her affection was expressed through thoughtful gestures, treasured traditions, delicious meals, and celebrations filled with love. Nancy was the dear sister of Jim (Diane), Jane (Walt), and Peter (the late Terry), and was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn (the late Larry). She will remain in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends.
Nancy possessed a wonderful gift for making others feel loved, often through the things she created with her hands and the warmth she shared from her heart. She was famous for her delicious baking, particularly her chocolate chip cookies, which brought smiles to countless faces. Her artistic flair shone through in the wedding cakes and special desserts she designed, while her catering at home and church brought people together around the table. Every dish was prepared with care, and every occasion offered another opportunity to bless those around her.
Her talents reached far beyond the kitchen. From imaginative Halloween costumes to intricate crafts and thoughtful touches for special occasions, Nancy's creativity knew no bounds. Above all, Nancy's faith was the foundation of her life. Her trust in the Lord Jesus Christ was unwavering, and her love for Him was evident in the way she served those around her. She enjoyed leading ladies' Bible studies. She also devoted herself to teaching Sunday school, and over the years, many children spoke of how their lives had been changed through her beautiful classes.
Nancy will also be remembered for her humour and quick wit. She had a special way of bringing laughter into a room, offering a clever remark or a perfectly timed comment that could lift spirits and brighten difficult days. Her sense of humour was a source of strength, and her laughter was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to share it.
Nancy's life reflected a woman who loved deeply, served faithfully, created generously, and trusted completely in her Lord and Saviour. Her earthly journey has ended, but her influence lives on through the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, the children she taught, and the many lives she touched. Those who mourn her absence can take comfort in the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ and the assurance that, in God's perfect time, there will be a glorious reunion in Heaven.
