Nancy Mary Menicanin

Beloved wife of the late George/Juka (December 13, 2014) with whom she enjoyed 57 wonderful years. Dearly loved mother of Mark (Dorothy), Paul (Sharon) and Michelle (Sal). Adored Baba of Daniel (Brooke), Michael (Sarah), Josiah (Erica), Sadie, Victoria (Arjun), Matthew (Aly) and great-Baba of Sebastian and Mya.

Nancy was the youngest of 13 children. She loved her precious family dearly and nothing brought more joy than to spend time with her loved ones. She had a passion for home decorating, and was an accomplished cook, baker and gardener. She warmly welcomed family and guests into her beautiful home with her special gift of hospitality.

Nancy loved to sing with a beautiful alto voice, never shying away from opportunities to harmonize alongside others. Whether it was with the Sweet Adelines, the Lorelei Singers, the Skyway Chorus, the Balkan Strings, or among family and friends, Nancy always loved to share her gift of song. Nancy excelled for many years as an office administrator with the Wentworth County Board of Education.

The family thanks all of the medical professionals who attended to Nancy's health needs.

Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, June 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will take place at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
