Nebojsa "Neno" Nikolic

Loving and doting father of Maya and Emma. Beloved son of Ruzica. Cherished and devoted brother of Anthony. He will be dearly missed by his aunts Marica, Verica and Dragica, uncle Marijan and their families. Neno leaves behind his family, not only in Canada, but in Croatia and Germany. Family meant everything to him, especially his daughters who were his whole life.

A person whose zest for life was contagious, Neno was always the first to lend a hand, crack a joke, or bring a smile to those around him. His warm spirit and boundless generosity will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was known for always having time for his friends and loved ones. Whether it was showing up with more food than anyone could eat or surprising others with thoughtful gifts, he had a knack for making people feel special. No celebration was ever complete without his presence, and his laughter was the highlight of many gatherings. Always quick with a joke, he had a way of making everyone around him laugh. His sense of humor, warmth, and kindness were unmatched, and those who knew him will forever cherish the joy he brought into their lives.

A lover of the outdoors, Neno found peace in his favorite pastimes—gardening, ice fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed visiting friends all over Grimsby, Stoney Creek, Georgetown, and beyond, creating memories and friendships that spanned far and wide.

Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Tuesday, December 30 from 4-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Wednesday, December 31 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
