Nella Wells

Peacefully, after a courageous battle with COPD on March 3, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She leaves behind her loving children Diane (John) Orgar, Randy (Karol), Robert, and Irene Black and adored grandchildren Wayne, Brian, Andrew, Chantel, and Brandy and cherished great granddaughter Nella-Lynn. She was pre-deceased by her precious first born grandson Mitchell. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters and their families in Italy and Australia.

Nella was born on April 3, 1936 in San Paolo di Morsano al Tagliamento, Italy and came to Canada in 1956 and was proud to call Canada home. She took pride in working many years at Puddicombe Farms and made many friends while working at Colortron. Everyone who knew “Nonny” knew that she loved her visits to Fallsview Casino and East Side Mario’s (Queenston).

The family wishes to thank Darlene Barrick for helping our Mom get through these past two years and to Pat McKnight from St. Elizabeth Health Care for her daily visits. Thank you also to Nello and Paola Celotto for always being there.

Friends and family are invited to gather at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (across from Gage Park, at the delta) on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11 am in the chapel followed by burial at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health at St. Joseph’s would be appreciated by the family.
