Nicolas William "Bill" Verwey

Beloved husband of 73 years to Shirley. Loving father to Karen Mousseau, Michael (Jean) and the late Dianne Kitching. Cherished grampa to Daniel (Carolyn), Sabrina (Jim), Jodi (Joel), Joshua, Jason, Lindsay (John) and Jaden and great grampa to Hudson, Emily, Ira and Peri. Dear brother to Don (Ann) and Mary Ranalli (the late John). He will be fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends.

Bill served the Insurance Industry well for over 50 years. He provided his clients with dedicated service and valued them as if they were family. Always putting others first, he will be remembered for his love for his family and his compassion, honesty and patience with anyone he had met. He was an avid woodworker and wine connoisseur and enjoyed travelling the world and spending summers with Shirley at the cottage on the French River for over 25 years. He also enjoyed camping adventures with his son and grandchildren on Lake Temagami.

His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Wednesday, December 7th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday, December 8th at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by his family.
