Peter James Ridehalgh

With sadness, we announce the passing of Pete on Friday, January 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Joan (nee May) for 63 years. Dear father of Lori (Mike Danby), Peter (Cindy) and Scott (Nena). Cherished Umpa to Belinda, Melissa (Jason), Ellison (Kyle), Drew (Lindsay), Tyler (Megan), Nichole (Evan) and Zachary. He leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as his sister Betty Gahagan (the late Frank). Predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Zena and sister-in-law Susan Labelle (Hugh). Survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Pedler (Albert) and Debbie May.

Pete ("Scuttlebutt") was involved with Eastwood Minor Hockey and Hamilton Huskies for many years and was a longtime employee of the T. Eaton Company.

Special thanks to the Emergency Room staff at the Juravinski Hospital, the Hamilton Paramedics and Fire Department for their care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Ave.E. Hamilton, 905-387-2111) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-7:30 pm with service in the chapel at 7:30 pm. Cremation will follow. The service will be webcast live via the link available on our website shown below.
