Quinto D'Angelo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Quinto, surrounded by his family at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, September 21, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved Husband of Giuseppina (nee Toscani) for 57 years. Loving Father of Serafina Tytler (Douglas), Rosanna Berry (David), Gabriele D’Angelo (Tina) and Anna Nelson (Kirk). Nonno’s laughter and sense of humour will be missed by Jacob, Christopher, Melissa (Joel), Amanda (Eric), Quinn (Kim), Josephine, Vincenzo (Krista), Giannina, Erin (James). Proud Great-Nonno of Spencer, Oliver, Miles and James. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Serafina, his brothers Gaetano, Giacomo, Giovanni (Nicola), Guido. Brother-in-law of Naldina and the late Rosato Toscani. Quinto immigrated to Canada from Italy in July 1963 with his wife and three children, they had their Canadian baby in 1964. He later helped his nephew Giacomo D’Angelo (Rosemary) come to Canada. Quinto will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and many good friends in Canada and Italy, especially his card buddy and neighbours, Nicola and Giannina Evangelista. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church (Parkdale and Queenston) on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10am. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Quinto’s memory.
