GRAY, Robert “Bob” – Peacefully on January 2, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in his 82nd year. Bob was born in Miramichi, New Brunswick. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Ruby (Irving) Gray and his wife Sharon (2012). Lovingly remembered by his partner Lois Brockbank. Bob will be greatly missed by his children; Kim (Tom) Fifield, Leslie (Ron) Martin and Craig (Brooke). “Bumper” will be missed by his grandchildren; Danielle, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Jared and Erika. Bob will also be fondly remembered by Lois’ children; Cathy (Keith), Kevin, Laurie and Jeffrey (Tina) and their families. He is also survived by his brothers; Ralph (Millie), Richard and Vernon (Fran), sisters; Margie (Clayton), Betty (Vincent), Nancy (Jimmy) and Joyce (Ron), all of Miramichi, New Brunswick, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Bob was a hardworking, loyal and outgoing man. He dedicated 32 years to working at Dofasco and 35 years as an auxiliary OPP. If something needed to be fixed or built, Bob was the man for the job. He made many friends over the years and enjoyed every moment he spent with both the old and the new. This included his Tim Hortons gang that he met with daily and his dog walking buddies. Bob was also a longtime member of Mount Hamilton Baptist Church.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. East (east of Sanford), on Friday January 11, 2019 from 10 – 11 am, followed by a Celebration of Bob’s Life in the chapel. A spring interment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In Bob’s memory, donations to the Bob Kemp Hospice or the Mount Hamilton Baptist Church would be appreciated.
