

PETERSEN, Rev. Roger, B.A. B.D. – Promoted to Glory on November 7, 2014, from St. Peter’s Palliative Care Hospital. Left to mourn are his wife Elsie, married 58 years, Children, Brian (Gabriela), Deborah (Tim), Steve (Aynsley), 12 grandchildren and one great grandson, Roger’s brother Edwin, other family members and many friends.
Roger was a retired Baptist Minister and retired English Teacher, Highland Secondary School Dundas, for 27 years. Roger’s ministries were preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, singing, especially the Messiah and playing the piano. Roger was a member of the Bach-Elgar Choir for 15 years.
The family will receive friends at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. East, (east of Sanford), on Friday, November 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 15th at 2pm, at the Salvation Army Mountain Citadel, 835 Stonechurch Rd. East.
May God’s blessings be with the many Doctors, CCAC support staff, as well as the team at St. Peter’s Palliative Care, Ward 3 East, for their love and compassionate care for Roger and our family. We wish to recognize the extraodinary care Dad’s family Doctor (Dr. M. Savatteri) provided for him in his last year.
