Rose Marie La Pointe

LA POINTE, ROSE MARIE (nee Houston), long time wife, sweetheart and friend of Fred La Pointe, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2011. Rose leaves behind her daughter Marilyn Barbara (La Pointe) and husband John Barbara, also daughter Sharon La Pointe-Johns and husband Jamie Johns, as well as son Joseph Darrin La Pointe and wife Tammi La Pointe (Jackson). Rose also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Kristen and Kaylyn Barbara; Cheyenne and Daniel Mildenberger (Children of Werner Mildenberger) and Alexander and Cameron La Pointe. Rose was especially proud of her Great Grandchild, Benjamin Ferdinand Sottile (child of Cheyenne Mildenberger and Vincenzo Sottile). Rose is survived by sisters Myrtle McCutcheon, Sadie Dube and Joyce Houston and brothers Denis Houston, Kenny Houston, Buddy Houston and Roland Houston.Rose had fought a long and hard battle against Chronic Pulmonary Disorder for the past 4 years.

Fred La Pointe and family will receive visitors at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 63 Hwy 20, East on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
