Scott Dunlop

After a lifelong struggle, Scott passed away with his friends by his side on February 29, 2016 at the age of 58 years. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary Lou, niece Krystal and nephew David. Dear husband of Patti. Missed and remembered by his adopted daughter Miranda and sisters Carol (Reg) and Martha. Sadly missed by Patti's family and his many friends. Scott will be missed by his lifelong friends from “Jubilee Worship Centre” where he first went to church and made many friends who he relied on during his life. After moving to Hamilton, Scott met many people in the city who he called friends. However, he never forgot those from back in the day and would make periodic calls to his “roots”. Scott was a kind hearted individual who would give anyone the shirt off his back. But he had struggles and those struggles followed him throughout his life. Now the suffering of life is done and he can be at peace. He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched in his short time here. But we are thankful that he is in a better place where he can join those he loved who have gone before him. Visitation will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel which will begin at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow. For those who may wish, donations to the CNIB or MADD would be appreciated by the family.
