Shelley Nicole Walsh

April 28, 1974 – February 12, 2026

It is with profound sadness that the family of Shelley Walsh announce her sudden passing at her home in Hamilton, Ontario, on February 12, 2026 at the age of 51 years.

She leaves to mourn, her spouse Brian Simon, her sons Tyler (Marissa) and Riley, her grandchildren Ellie, Gabriella and Jocelyn. Also left to mourn is her mother Deborah Walsh, brother Roderick (Trina), aunts Marguerite Walsh and Donna Crant (Joseph), uncles Matthew Walsh, Robert Walsh and Darren Carew.

Shelley will be lovingly remembered by her step-children, Sherry (Donald) Simms, Travis (Juanita) Tourout, Brian (Julie) Tourout, Jeannette Tourout, her beloved step-grandchildren all in Newfoundland and Labrador, and special friends Patsy Hynes, Sylvia Blackie and family.

Shelley was predeceased by her father Donald, grandparents Matthew and Mercedes Walsh, Barbara Nash, aunt Marie, uncle Monty, Raymond and Alice Simon.

Shelley lived a simple life, being happy and considerate to all. She loved a good laugh; hers could fill a room. She was kind to all, and welcoming to anyone with open arms. Shelley will be missed but never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place and a time of visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E., Hamilton. A Chapel Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm. If desired, donations in memory of Shelley could be made to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
