She was well known in the city as an active owner and director of her cat sitting company For the Love of Cats! She will be sadly missed by her feline friends, their owners and her beloved Persian Anthony.
She was active for many years on the Bruce Trail, having hiked the End to End on two occasions. She enjoyed playing golf and was fortunate enough to attend every golfer's dream The Masters in Augusta Georgia where she met her beloved Anthony and brought him to Canada where he lived with her until her death.
Cremation has taken place and at Shirley's request no service is planned. Donations in her memory may be sent to The Village Cat Clinic in Ancaster, Ontario who cared for Anthony after he arrived in Canada.
