Shirley joined her beloved late husband Jerry on their 68th wedding anniversary. She leaves behind a devoted family, daughters Dana Haynes, Jodi Baginski and her husband Mike, and grandchildren Brendan and Meghan. Predeceased by her sister Joan. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her nephews, extended family, and friends.
Shirley’s main focus has always been loving her family. She was a doting stay at home mother until her girls went to school where she then worked in women’s clothing stores until her retirement. Once her grandchildren arrived, she became number one babysitter and grandma.
A Visitation to celebrate Shirley’s life will take place at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, July 16th, 2026 from 5:30-8:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada would be sincerely appreciated.
