Shirley Isabel Mary Lawton

Shirley, beloved wife of Milne Lawton (predeceased) was much loved by son Rick and daughter-in- laws Lesia and Marn. She is predeceased by her children (Robert, John, Constance and Paul). Loving Grandmother to Michael (Ashley), Carrie (Sean), James (Meaghan), Katherine (Cris), Kimberly (Ryan), David (Annie), and Adam. Great grandmother to Violet, Everly, Rhett, Ryder, Mae, Weston, Douglas, William, Dominic, Liliana, Jack, Maxwell, Abigail. She will be dearly missed.

Shirley was born to Albert Louis and Anna Pearl Johnston on January 29,1926, sister to John (Jack) and Albert Douglas. She graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing on July 18,1947. She married Milne in 1949, raising five children together. As a devoted nurse she worked at Macassa Lodge until her retirement in 1991 as Director of Nursing.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. Hamilton, Ontario L9A 1T2 on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament, 305 East 37th St., Hamilton, Ontario L8V 4B5 on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:30am with Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
