Beloved wife of the late Evangelos Bistas (2023), Sonia was a devoted mother to Bill (Popi) and Gus (Mia), a cherished grandmother to Angelo (Karlyle), Demetri (Leya), Evan, and Ambros, and a loving great-grandmother to Berkley. She was a dear sister to Venetia and was predeceased by her sister, Pota.
Sonia will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her love and presence. She will be deeply missed and forever held close in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will take place at Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 233 East 15th Street, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road East.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sonia’s memory may be made to Bob Kemp Hospice.
