Sophia Trikas

More than 60 years ago, she married her beloved late husband, Michael (2021), and together they built a life centered on love and family. Their journey took them between Greece and Canada before they ultimately settled in Hamilton. There, Sophia and Michael established a successful business while raising their four sons. Sophia’s unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and deep faith were the foundation of her family. She worked tirelessly and gave selflessly, always placing the needs of those she loved above her own.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother to Dimitri, Thanassi (Kalliope), Vasili (Brenda), and Ioanni, and as a proud and cherished Yiayia to Afroditi, Elexa, Anna, Michael, Dimitri, Sophia, and Nikki. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home – Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service from Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 233 East 15th Street, Hamilton on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
