Spenser Edward Alan Sherritt

SHERRITT, Spenser Edward Alan--After a long and courageous battle, Spenser passed away peacefully from the complications of a stem cell transplant at the age of 22. Spenser faced each health challenge with courage, dignity, grace and humour. He had a heart and a spirit as big as he was. Spenser was the cherished son of Glen Sherritt and Dianne Marshall. Best friend and baby brother of Katherine Abell (Ken). He was "Uncle Spense" to his niece, Fiona Abell . Beloved grandson of Susan Marshall. Spenser is now reunited with his hero and grandfather, Ted Marshall. Predeceased by his grandparents, Frances and Wesley Sherritt and his "Gigi", Susan Vandette. Spenser will be much missed by his numerous aunts and uncles, extended family and friends. Many thanks to all the staff and doctors at Juravinski Hospital for their professionalism, care and compassion extended to Spenser and his family. Funeral to be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East .Visitation to be held on Saturday, July 9 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 and again on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral will be held on July 11, 2011 at 1pm. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
