Steve was predeceased by his parents, Helen (2007) & Steve (1989). He will be sadly missed by his brother Mike. Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane (Divinski) and his loving children Tara, Carrie (Michael) and David. He was the very proud grandfather of Landon, Briar and Delilah. He will be sadly missed by many other extended family members and friends.
Steve worked in the main office at ArcelorMittal Dofasco for 38 years and developed many lasting friendships over that period of time. He retired in 2013, thoroughly enjoying his free time. He was a devout Tiger Cat fan and he loved those Maple Leafs. Steve could always be found sitting on his front porch watching the world go by and affectionately became known throughout the neighbourhood as “Buddha”.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter’s for their compassionate care during Steve’s final months. We would also like to thank Dr. Hira Mian at Juravinski Hospital for her kindness and hope.
Cremation has taken place. If so desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Steve’s memory on Sunday, November 10th from 12 – 3 pm at Carrigan Arms Pub, 2025 Upper Middle Road (at Brant), Burlington.
