Peacefully with his family by his side on January 30th, 2012 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Teresa for 51 years. Loving father of John and his wife Joanne and Joe and his wife Nevenka. Cherished Dida of Julianna, Johnathan and Mary. Dear brother of Kathy Mikic and uncle of Stanko, Zdenko, Teresa and Ivan. Cousin of Mato and Anna Galovic and their daughters, Miriam and Christina. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and close friends in Canada and Croatia. A special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and support.
His family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Friday February 3rd, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. followed by interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
