Steven Booth

After a valiant battle and with great courage, dignity and at his home, surrounded by his beloved family, on March 15, 2011, the Lord called Steve to His side. Dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth and cherished father of Steven and Sarah. Loving son of the late Michael and Beatrice Booth and loving son-in-law of Steve and Vida Sajder. Cherished brother of Phyllis (Graham) Rice, Michael (Maureen) and Ann (Bob) Primmer. Dearest brother-in-law of Annie and Rob Poolman and Steven and Lori Sajder. Steve will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, Jason Primmer, Tina (Steve) Nopper, Mackenzie Sajder, Anne Marie Booth, Madison, Mason and Miley Sajder and great-niece Braelyn Primmer. Remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Retired after 32 years of service from the City of Hamilton. Steve focused on his adoring family and enjoyed the good life with all of them. A special thank you to Dr. Kuruvilla and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, the staff of Ward 3 at the Juravinski Hospital, Dr. Bev of St. Peter's Hospital (3 West) for helping Steve in returning home to once again enjoy the sunrises and the sunsets. To the wonderful people at CCAC, St. Joseph's nurses, St. Elizabeth's nurses and Cancare Health Services for the excellent care given to our beloved Steve in his final journey. Special thanks to all Our Special Angels, you all know how grateful your heartfelt love and affectionate care has meant to us. To Helen and Eugene Stec - your love and support will always be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Service Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Steve's family's motto was to live life with no regrets, no repeats and no second chances. "Pops, It's a Wonderful Life "
