Peacefully surrounded by his family and friends, on February 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 55. He will be dearly missed by his wife Terezija Batinic, his daughters Ana and Monika, his mother Lucija Batinic, his brothers Marko, Anto, Josip and Ljuban, his cousin Mirko Batinic, as well as his family and friends in Canada and back home. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for all their generous care and support. The family will recieve friends at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth), on Friday, February 22nd from 6-9 pm, with vigil prayers at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, on Saturday, February 23rd at 9:30 am followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
