Susan Hooton

Susan passed away at the age of 65, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and friendship that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of David Hooton, Susan was a loving sister and sister in law to Will (Patty), Roberta (the late Dave), Sondra (Patrick), Harold (Sonya), Doug (Barb), and Don (the late Lesley). She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Blacklock. Susan will be forever cherished by her many stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

For 37 years, Susan was known as the dependable “go-to” administrator whose dedication and warmth touched countless lives. She found great joy spending time at the cottage with David and their extended family. She had a passion for collecting owls, never passed up a good game of euchre, and especially treasured the breathtaking sunsets at the cottage.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home – Fennell Chapel on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
