It is with great sadness that we share the January 12th passing of Suzanne Elizabeth Trewolla (née Meyer) at the age of 38. Sue is remembered as a beloved friend, mother, sister and daughter, and as a collector known for her curious affection for nostalgia and classic games and a very specific type of straw. She loved gaming, Pepsi, all (or most) things Chris Cornell, her daughter, her dog, and her family and friends. It was hard to earn her respect, but never to merit her kindness. Though unassuming, those close to her knew her to be a genuine, forthright generous but also somewhat turbulent soul. She had regrets, but also many joys and dreams and like many unassuming people, far more impact than she could have appreciated.
As you read this and as we gather to celebrate her, we ask that you honour Sue as she would have felt most well-remembered, by celebrating her as she is to you, with both her flaws and her triumphs, but always in love. She absolutely would have corrected you on one side or the other. A visitation for family and friends will be held in celebration and remembrance of Sue on Saturday, January 19th at Cresmount Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
Sue is survived by her beloved daughter Samantha Trewolla, father and mother Bill and Nancy Meyer, brothers David (Mary-Ann) Meyer and Daniel Meyer (Allie Connolly), nieces Evelyn, Paige and Chloe Meyer, grandparents Gloria Mallet and Marion and Jerry Liberty, and dog-son Egon Spengler.
