Theodoros "Dore/Terry" Galopoulos-Bogdanis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 15, 2025. Loving and devoted husband to Faye for 35 years. Survived by his children: Mary, Voula(Anthony), and Matthew.
Born May 5, 1963 in the village of Tserevo, Lerin, Greece to Metodi and Matsa. He was the beloved youngest brother to his siblings: Natse (Donna), Gus (Dina), Risto (Sandy), Lena (Stavros), Peter (Deborah), and his twin sister Keti (Nicko). Beloved by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul (Nancy), Tom (Klaudia). Will be missed by his dearest friend Jimmy (Paula), along with numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many friends whom he cherished and loved dearly.
He is predeceased by his parents Metodi and Matsa, eldest sister Lena, brother in-law Stavros, in-laws Stavros and Paraskevi and his Uncle Petros Iliou.
He immigrated to Canada on November 27, 1988, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and love. He met his wife Faye in 1989 and married on July 1, 1990. Soon after, they had their twins Mary and Voula, and nine years later they had their son Matthew.
His passions were simple but meaningful—barbequing, watching the Premier League with his son, gardening, and, of course, grocery shopping. Terry had a special gift for knowing where the best deals were, and if he wasn't working or spending time with family, you could likely find him at Costco. He spent countless hours by the pool, barbecuing for those he loved, and ending his day with what he fondly called a "firebon"—a warm bonfire where memories and smores were shared.
Terry was known for his unwavering commitment to his family, always putting the needs of others above his own. He was a tireless worker, and whether it was at home or at work, he gave everything his all. He was the best husband and father anyone could ask for, and his love for his children was evident in everything he did. Even in his final days, Terry continued to put the needs of his family first, showing his selflessness and incredible strength.
Terry's legacy will live on through the love he gave, the lessons he imparted, and the memories that will never be forgotten. His devotion to those he cared for, his humour, and his heart will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Center and Juravinski CICU for their exceptional care and compassion during Terry's final days.
Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 5-8pm with Prayers to be said from 6-6:30pm.
