Thekla Soar

Beloved wife of Wayne for 52 years. Loving mother of Elaine Silvano (Franco), and Katherine Benton (Miles). Proud grandmother of Julia, Emily, Victoria, Alessandra and Jessica, and great-grandmother of Olivia and Cruz. Thekla is survived by her brother Dasos and will be reunited in Heaven with her parents Nicos and Haroulla Constandinides, sister Stacey and brother Chris. She will be sadly missed but forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Thekla was born in Cyprus and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1965. Thekla was a strong woman, held a managerial role for years at Regional Medical Associates, McMaster University, and was a dedicated member of Regina Mundi Parish. She is known to many as caregiver as she dedicated many years caring for her parents, brother and husband.

Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home – Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Regina Mundi Church, 631 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
