Thomas Hunter

Born in Parkhead, Scotland, Thomas moved to Canada in 1981 to build a better life for his family, accepting a position with Westinghouse. His courage and dedication shaped the life he created for those he loved.

Tam was the devoted husband of Mary for 53 years and a loving father to Carol-Ann Hunter and Sharon Hunter Masson, father-in-law to Derek Masson. He was a proud papa to Cole and Morgan. Even on his darkest days Morgan was the light of his life. A special thank you to Frank and Marie Quinn for all the support the past few weeks. Thank you to the staff at Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital for the care they provided.

Known for his humour, Thomas was cracking jokes until the very end. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 12:30 pm until 2 pm. The Memorial Service to celebrate his life will follow in the Cresmount Chapel at 2 pm.
